Chic daytime to elegant nighttime using structure and tailoring while incorporating playful prints! I’m Speechless! Speechless! OH MAAA GWADDD! If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen how incredible Zac Posen’s Spring/ Summer 2017 fashion show was yesterday at #NYFW.
This show was held at Spring Studios in Tribeca located in lower Manhattan and hosted top celebrities, editors and media influencers. Uma Thurman, Coco Rocha, Miss Jay Alexander, June Ambrose and Fleur de force among many others that were in attendance that evening.
Not only was this a huge honor to attend as this is one of the biggest and most anticipated shows of the week, but I got to experience this with my two favorite Toronto ladies. Funny enough, my friend Kara Alloway who was attending the show with us, was actually the one who introduced Zac Posen to Suzanne Rogers in 2014 and helped make Toronto fashion history with the infamous Suzanne Rogers presents Zac Posen fashion show for BoostforKids charity.
The show opened with a orange mini short and ¾ length sleeve blazer combo and then gradually started becoming increasingly more “haute couture” with the beaded 3-D sequins on technical mesh dresses and the intricately folded white organza gowns and lilac lace and organza gown both paired with a black or brown Christian Louboutin Sandal.
I have SOOOOOOOOOOOO many favorites from this show but hands down my favorite piece from the entire collection was the dark gray 3-D sequin flared skirt with matching sequin ¾ length sleeve blazer. This would be the perfect red carpet piece in the Spring Summer months as not only will it sparkle like crazy on the red carpet and flash photography. But still incorporates the haute couture aspect of the brand.
I seriously cannot wait to see what Zac Posen does next and I’m looking forward to his next show!
