Moschino, DSQUARED2, Versace, Valentino, Lanvin and Roberto Cavalli…Brands we all lust over and love…Right? These are just some of the brands that Yorkville’s best kept fashion secret North42’s has to offer in their private fashion collection.
This week, I had the opportunity to visit NORTH42, and experience this amazing place for myself with my friend Roxy Earle…Who just happens to be one of the stars on The Real Housewives of Toronto. #NoBigDealRight?
Roxy and I made plans to attend The Canadian Arts and Fashion (CAFA) Awards together. So naturally, I came to with her for fitting and had a chance to experience meet with her uber fabulous stylist Wendy Bannerman.
The CAFA awards are what i like to call, The Canadian Met Gala. Red carpet glamour! Ball gowns! Celebrities! Super model! You’ dress to impress and take this as an opportunity to step out of your fashion comfort zone. Being one of the only events that will be forgiving if you want to wear something compeletly over the top!
Dean and Dan from DSQUARED2 being the first Canadian designers to receive the first outstanding achievement award at CAFA in 2014. Roxy wanted to payed homage to the success brothers by wearing their line to the this years awards…But with a twist!
Roxy’s look for the evening featured a DSquared2 maple leaf patch baseball cap, matching maple leaf lace up Julie stiletto sneakers. Paired with a black Moschino gown and topped off with a Dsquared2 runway leather jacket. A risky look that was a HUGE success on the red carpet! I personally loved it and think it was the perfect choice for CAFA.
My 2017 CAFA awards blog post should go up this week i will be sure to feature both my look from the evening and my experience walking the red carpet.
