POWER BALL! POWER BALL! POWER BALL! But WAIT people!!!…I’m not talking about the lottery and the sad faces of the people spending their entire life saving trying to hit the jackpot…I’m talking about one of Toronto’s most exclusive and highly anticipated fashion and art events. Woot! Woot!
This year, was my first time attending and definitely did not disappoint. The power plant, Canada’s leading contemporary art gallery was magically transformed into multiple creative and innovative art instillation and it was unlike any other event that I’ve attended in the city. It’s was more of an immersive art experience than your typical cookie cutter fashion event. A few of the world’s top liquor brands such as Patron, Rum Chata, Jack Daniels and Absolute vodka were all present that night with making their signature cocktails for the attendees to enjoy.
This years event was sponsored by Italian luxury house Max Mara. Naturally, They had multiple fashion installations, including the Black (red) carpet and projecting their FW16 fashion show on the wall for everyone to watch. Being more of a fashion lover myself, not only did I get the change to watch a filmed fashion show. It was just like fashion week to see the dichotomy of styles from ripped jeans to neon cream cycle orange jumpsuits and floor length black lace gowns. Performances? Music? Fashion? Food? Art? BOOZE? Can I please get a YASSSSSSSSS?
