Bright colours and florals for fall? YES! – MICHAEL KORS F/W 2018

Regardless if you like it or not, Michael Kors is one of the biggest and most anticipated fashion shows of the entire fashion month schedule. Not to be mistaken with main stream Michael Kors label. Michael Kors Collection is the company’s black label couture line, and these are the pieces that are making their way down the catwalk and major red carpet around the world.

Year after year, the Michael Kors fashion show closes off New York Fashion Week with a bang! This season’s show took place at Lincoln centre which not only nostalgic, But also a nice treat to the New York Fashion Week Veterans as Lincoln Centre was the main fashion week venue from 2010-2015. Blake Lively, Anna Wintour, Grace Coddinton, Jordan Dun, Zendaya were all in attendance. Sadly, I wasn’t able to make it to the fashion show. But I thankfully still had the opportunity to see the entire collection up close just personal moments after the show at the Michael Kors corporate offices in Midtown.

A trend I noticed that is especially prevalent the Michael Kors show was the use of  bright colours and the floral prints. Both very reminiscent of a Spring/ Summer fashion collection.  But I love that we are starting to see more bright colours incorporated into fall fashion mustard yellow and apple green shearling fur coats paired with floral print dresses.  Not only is it refreshing to see, But I live in a very cold metropolitan city and I’m running out of fabulous winter outfits and ideas. I think I’m going to rock a mustard yellow fur next season! Thoughts?
