Attending Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2019 – #MFW

Heartbreaking news strikes Cavalli lovers like myself this month. First, the resignation of creative director Paul Surridge. A week later, News that all stores in North America were to be shut down… Even in prime shopping districts and flagships like NYC’s Madison Avenue, Rodeo Drive In Beverly Hills and Bal Harbour in Miami are closed. I’m personally devastated by the news of the Madison Avenue shut down. I traveled to NYC quite often, and I always made it a priority to visit my Cavalli Family at the Madison Avenue boutique who have helped bring Roberto Cavalli to Canada! Regardless of the recent disappointments, I wanted to share my experience attending Paul Surriges last collection for Roberto Cavalli.

Ironically to everything mentioned above, this F/W 19 collection actually happened to be my favourite show of the Milan Fashion Week season…and one of my favourite fashion shows of all time!

Combining both mens and womenswear F/W into this one show. I loved all the loud prints and bright colours! I don’t think there’s a piece that I didn’t like from this show. My favourite piece was the multi coloured shearling skin jacket which I absolutely need right now!

I’m excited to see who they bring on board for spring/summer and I’m hopeful that the brand will make a return very soon!

Until Next time,

Sergio.
