Taking it all the way back to the summer of 2016, I met my dear friend Ivana Walker the founder and creator of Anavi Designs while filming season 1 of The Real Housewives of Toronto (RHOT). If the last name rings a bell, you’re right! She is the sister in law of Joan Kelly Walker one of the stars of RHOT.
Anavi Designs journey started when Ivana was on a vacation in Europe and went searching for the perfect travel purse, a purse that could be used during the day and nice enough to go to an expensive restaurant. With no budget limitations she searched Prada, Gucci, Valentino and Versace and struck out with each store but with no luck. This prompted her to take matters into her own hands (literally) and she began not only designing but hand creating custom purses.
Everyone knows I’m a handbag snob, I love my Hermès and Chanel bags, but considering how quickly I like to switch my bags… I was (BEYOND) excited to have finally found unique and high quality bespoke handbag line that is just as fashionable, yet much more affordable than my previous habits. Anavi Designs used to primarly focused on woman’s handbags… However, Recently Anavi Designs is launch a menswear line!
The Menswear line features a variation of sizes of the “Cruiser” bags which you can see me carrying all across NYC in my most recent trip. The mini Cruiser bag is perfect for everyday and if you are sick of having your pockets overflow with stuff. The medium Cruiser bag is large enough to carry a tablet or iPad, and the Cruiser XL is the perfect bags for travel and to fit a laptop of document.
I personally love unique bags hence why I opted to wear the more colourful Cruiser bags. But neutral variations of the Cruiser bags are also available to for order here – http://anavidesigns.com/cruiser-bag/
However, If you prefer to shop in person make sure to visit the new ANAVI DESIGNS boutique (Opening on June 11th) at 1294 St.Clair avenue W Toronto and follow @anavidesigns on instagram for more updates.
Who else is excited to have a bespoke handbag boutique opening in the heart of our city ?
Until Next time,
